There is no denying the accuracy benefits of using a Labradar for bullet velocity and muzzle velocity measurement when doing ballistic calculations, load development and truing your Applied Ballistics software or device. The problems people mostly have with the Labradars, is almost always caused by incorrect setup of device settings, or even more so, not positioning the Labradar correctly in relation to the target and the muzzle.
With that in mind, great improvements in measurement consistency and accuracy can be made with a few upgrades or additional accessories for your Labradar. So here are the upgrades we have tested and recommend that improve and compliment the Labradar.
The Best Labradar Carry Case
The Pelican 1520 with foam, is the pefect size and much better setup to safely store and carry your expensive and sensitive Labradar in.

Above is an example of how Snipershide user filefish laid out his Labradar in the foam inside.
Bestshoot Desktop Mini Labradar Tripod
Having the Labradar mounted at the correct close proximity to your rifle is of utmost importance, whether your rifle is on the ground when you are shooting prone, or whether it is on a table or bench when shooting seated.
This great little Labradar tripod can hold an amazing 3kg, so it holds your Labradar super steady even through muzzle brake blasts, and it can take it super low to the table surface or ground.
Folding up very small so it can be store in the Labradar bag or your own suitcase that you may carry your Labradar in, it is an addition we cannot go without for our Labradar.
MK Machining Improved Labradar Sight
One of the main set-up requirements for accurate and reliable Labradar measurements, is aiming the Labradar correctly. The little V-slot in the Labradar is less than ideal for aiming and causes much frustration with Labradar users.
This simple aiming sight which is 3D-printed, although basic, makes all the difference and makes the set-up of your Labradar MUCH easier and faster. No more wasting ammo to check if it is aimed correctly.
Labradar Mount Stand
Often when using a Labradar with a muzzle brake, the best position to mount it, is just above your muzzle, so as to get it out of the way from muzzle blast interference.
The problem with that, is that one of the tripod legs get in the way of the barrel, so with this great little stand that you add your own choice and length of legs to, it is a quad pod, so it mounts above the barrel without getting in the way.
Do not get a Labradar tripod if you want it directly above your rifle, get this Labradar stand instead.
The Labradar being a doppler radar, means your velocity measurements are exact, but only if you enter the correct parameters and settings, do not damage it, aim it correctly, and place it in the correct orientation in regard to the rifle muzzle. With these added accessories and upgrades, your Labradar will be protected, easy to aim and set-up.
