Why get the Chargemaster Link?
If you’re in the market for a new electronic powder dispenser, you could gladly consider this RCBS Chargemaster Lite or the Chargemaster Link. These compact digital scales cost about half as much as its larger counterpart and other competitor brands, but it still has plenty of great features. One of its most attractive features is its large LCD screen. The large numbers make it easy to read even if you have big hands or worry about hitting the wrong buttons on the touch screen.
Aside from being compact and easy to handle, the Chargemaster Link is also incredibly accurate. It has a hopper that holds nearly a pound of smokeless powder, which means it can accurately dispense anywhere from two to 300 grains of powder. The Chargemaster Link has a +/-0.1 grain accuracy, and it’s compatible with both 240-volt and 120-volt power sources.
Besides being a convenient hopper, the Chargemaster Link can also be used as a manual powder measurer or scale. When the powder pan is empty, you can program it to automatically throw a charge. The accuracy is 0.1 grains per gram. This RCBS Chargemaster Liink is also compact, so it doesn’t clutter your reloading bench. I tested it out with three different cartridges, and it worked well for each of them. In fact, for my 6mm Dasher, I shot multiple 5 shot strings with the ammo I loaded with it, and none of them had a double digit Extreme Spread.
Is the RCBS Chargemaster Link Accurate?
While the Chargemaster Link is an excellent option for beginner reloaders, it is just as viable option for experienced reloaders, I still use mine to load my PRS ammunition and just recently tested my ammo loaded with it to a extreme spread of just 5fps over a 6 shot string. NOT a once off ocurence too, I consistently wow the other shooters at the zero-range with my low standard deviations on my loaded batches before matches.
